What is Glycomet Gp2 ?

Glycomet Gp2 Tablet is used for Type 2 diabetes mellitus, Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, Maturity onset diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, Polycystic ovary syndrome, Treating the type 2 diabetes mellitus and other conditions. Glycomet Gp2 Forte Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Glycomet Gp2  Tablet contains Glimepiride and Metformin as active ingredients.
Glycomet Gp2 Tablet works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas; decreasing the amount of glucose and controls the amount of glucose in the blood;

Dosage

Missed Dose
The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dosage then the missed dose can be skipped.
Overdose
It is recommended to discontinue the medication and contact your doctor immediately if an overdose is suspected. Symptoms like dizziness, confusion, increased heartbeat, tremor and sweating after taking the medication should be reported immediately.

Warnings for special population

Pregnancy - Glycomet Gp2 Tab is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.
Breast-feeding - This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the drug based on your clinical condition.

Storage               

Glycomet Gp2 Store below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Glycomet out of the reach of children and away from pets.
